In the majority of our driveway paving projects, a single material is employed. Common examples include tarmac, resin-bonded surfaces and block paving stones. However, we also firmly believe that variety is the spice of life. There are indeed times when a combination of the materials mentioned above can provide a much-needed change. We were recently contacted by a customer in Charley Wood to discuss such a possibility in greater detail. It was eventually decided that their front driveway would be surfaced with block paving stones as well as gravel.

Of course, each solution offers its own unique benefits. Block paving stones are extremely durable and they can be laid out in a number of eye-catching patterns. Gravel boasts excellent drainage properties, it is available in a kaleidoscope of colours and application is straightforward. It is also important to mention that both of these materials complimented the aesthetic beauty of the existing exterior of the home. Therefore, an entirely unique driveway surface was completed within a relatively short period of time.
