New Patio Project in St Albans

Why did the client contact us?

A homeowner in St Albans wanted a spacious patio in their back garden. They were hoping for a design that created a focal point for their outdoor living space.

After looking at options, our paving contractors suggested a block-paved patio using large-format paving blocks. These big blocks would give a modern look and minimise grout lines for a smooth, seamless surface. The client chose a light grey to match their garden design and a border using smaller blocks to define the patio edges.

What work was done?

We started by excavating and levelling the area to create a solid base for the patio. Next, we laid the large format paving blocks in a stretcher bond pattern to maximise the impact of the big blocks. The border was then installed to create a frame for the patio and add to the design.

The result was a fantastic functional patio with a modern look and outstanding durability.

Were there any issues?

The job was done smoothly and quickly with no problems. The client was delighted with the finished result and loved how the patio blended with the garden.
