Why did the client contact us?

A Rickmansworth resident contacted us about the state of their private access road. Years of wear and tear had left the surface uneven, potholed, and getting harder to drive on. A long-term solution was needed to get safe and smooth access to their property.

Recognising the need for a durable and cost-effective solution, we proposed a tarmac resurfacing project. This would give a solid, seamless finish to withstand heavy vehicle traffic and the weather.

What work was done?

We started by thoroughly levelling the existing road surface to provide a stable base for the new tarmac layer.

Next, the hot tarmac was laid and rolled to create a smooth, even surface. Our tarmacking contractors paid attention to drainage to ensure proper runoff. The edges were finished neatly to give a clean and professional look.

The result was a much-improved private road. The new tarmac provided a smooth, even surface and made vehicle access much safer and more comfortable. The tarmac was robust and a long-term solution that minimised future maintenance.
